Hi everybody! My name is Kayla, and I'm headed off to college soon. I'm eighteen years old right now, and I will be starting my first year at Ferris State University in exactly a week. I am a science geek (so to speak) and will be majoring in Forensic Biology. My career goal is to become a Forensic Pathologist. For anyone who watches NCIS: I want to be the next Ducky. For anyone who doesn't: I want to do criminal autopsies. I come from a fairly small town; I graduated 16th in a class of 98. I've never been to a big school, so this year is going to be new for me. I'm really excited for it, but also extremely nervous.
I plan to update this blog at least a couple of times a week. I would like to say that I will update it every day, but I know that's not realistic. With all of the classes that I will be taking plus the social life that I am hoping to have, it will be surprising if I am even able to update it a couple times a week.
This blog is for me to talk about everything I'm going through as a college freshman. I will talk about my classes and the work that comes with them, complain about professors, give hints and tricks that I pick up, talk about the parties that I've gone to and what I did there (even if it's embarrassing for me), and anything else that happens to me this year. Along with being a way for me to document everything, I am hoping that it will help future incoming freshman with their transition to college.
I've never written a blog before, so it's probably going to be a bit rough at first. I don't usually write much of anything really, but I'm sure as I keep writing (and take some English classes) my writing will get better. Just bare with me and we'll see how this goes.

Nice blog (:
